Hi,

What great testimonies.

So many people are anti family and anti children that they have to defend their use of contraception till the cows come home. I think they object constantly because if they were to say yes that is true they have to admit that they are false. Keep up the good work defending the faith and family life.

Hi,

Great post about nfp. I don't know why your luteal phase is shorter or what cycalender is like. My husband and I have used nfp for 16 years now. I remember when we were first married we used it to try to get pregnant and the more we had the more we used it to avoid marriage lol.

I wish my husband would be more involved too. We did recently decide that we need to pray each month about why we are avoiding pregnancy and if it really is a good reason to do this. As far as knowing what my symptoms are saying or what phase I am in my husband wouldn't have a clue. I suppose I expect it will be this way as long as I am watching my symptoms. Good luck getting your dh more involved.

Congratulations! Potty training can be so hard. I'm in the middle of it without much success. I'm so glad they all get the hang of it eventually!

Hi. I just stopped by from the Catholic Mothers circle. Potty training is hard! We are just finishing up training our third child. He will be 4 in October. My biggest advice is not to do it until you are ready to commit to the constant potty visits. My girls were difficult to train (3 1/2 and 4 1/2 when they finally learned) and I think part of it was I was feeling too much stress about it. Of course, you do have school to put a deadline on you. Does your son really love school? Does he understand that he can't go if he doesn't learn to use the potty? We have used charts and rewards, which only worked some of the time. The biggest factor is the child's willingnes to try. If he really doesn't want to learn, there is not a lot you can do. Sorry. :(

I just found your blog. Thanks for the reminder about the rosary. I always mean to pray it but it tends to slip through the cracks. I need to keep being reminded. I listen to a lot of Catholic podcasts while I'm working on the computer. It's wonderful to feel my faith being built up this way.

Thanks, Freddy for your empathy! It's comforting to know that there are other women/moms that feel the same way. Have you heard the expression: "God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called." Praise be to God!

Just found your site and oh, boy, can I relate. I never thought I'd be much good as a mom (much to my own super mom's dismay) and here I am with seven boys. There are days when I long for the convent! My just-turned-three is struggling with the toilet training thing, and the three month old is a different person every day. (I like baby-happy and baby-sleepy, but baby-cranky drives me nuts.) I'm not artistic or athletic or particularly holy, so sometimes I wonder why God called me to this life.

My wonderful husband is my mainstay (after my faith!). He's taught me how to relax and not worry so much. "You're a great mom -- the kids are happy and healthy," he tells me.

Just take each day as it comes, and God bless! I'll be praying for you, too!
